Like the previous albums, “Good Morning Mr Average” and “Counterpoise” the ten songs on the album showcase the songwriting of singer/guitarist Robert Wildhack, which has matured and developed, combining honest, basic roots-rock with catchy melodies and raw power.
With a great selection of accompanying musicians, “A Great Place to Leave” was recorded, and co-produced with Robert, by Gogo Engst, a veteran of the Berlin scene, with a cover by the long-term Cannery Row collaborator Andy Leuenberger.
